50 Years Ago Today – David Bowie Releases ‘Aladdin Sane’

50 years ago today (4/13/73), David Bowie released his sixth studio album, Aladdin Sane, the name of the album is a pun on “A Lad Insane” and allowed for one of rock’s most iconic album covers displaying Bowie in artistic red hair and a red-and-blue lightning bolt splitting his face in two while a teardrop runs down his collarbone.
