The world’s most beloved yet mysterious songstress Lana Del Rey kicked off her short 2023 tour last night (September 14) at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee. The prolific songwriter set off on a 10-date tour of the States in support of her recently released Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd LP which saw Del Rey collaborating with Bleachers and Father John Misty with some of her most stirring performances to date. It is not common for Del Rey to go on tour with her other performances of 2023 consisting of festival appearances. The last tour she was on was back in 2019 when the artist hit the road in support of her now-pivotal Norman Fucking Rockwell LP. Del Rey is looking to bring new songs and old classics to life on this stint on the road as the artist traverses her sold-out tour across the U.S.
Del Rey pieced together a career-spanning setlist for her stop in the great state of Tennessee. She kicked things off with a shortened version of “A&W” from her aforementioned 2023 LP, she also performed “The Grants” and the title track from the album. Her seminal Born To Die album got the most love of the night with tracks like “Blue Jeans” and “Video Games” along with the remix of her smash hit “Summertime Sadness”. Del Rey also performed “Bartender” from Norman Fucking Rockwell and “Ride” from her underappreciated Paradise EP. She also pulled out some deep cuts like “Young and Beautiful”, her contribution to The Great Gatsby soundtrack, and covered “Stand By Your Man” by Tammy Wynette.
After a roaring first stop in Tennessee, Lana Del Rey has officially kicked off a rare string of dates. Her 2023 tour will have her hitting cities like Austin, Tampa, and Pittsburg. Check out the full list of dates, the full setlist, and footage from the first stop on her 2023 tour below:
