LISTEN: Swash Unleash Parquet Courts Type Art Punk With “Beard of Bees”

Since their inception, Swash has embodied a DIY ethos, handling everything from writing to recording and releasing their own music. Now, after seven years of self-sufficiency, the band seeks fresh horizons, opting to collaborate. Their upcoming EP, “BEES,” marks this shift, featuring mixing and mastering by Christian Ankerstjerne

Swash crafts impulsive yet catchy songs that blend noise with melody, drawing inspiration from American lo-fi indie rock on their new track “Beard of Bees.” The band’s sound is shaped by the distinct musical ideas of its four members, with both guitarists contributing equally to writing and vocals. This results in tracks dominated by brash guitars, with similarities to Parquet Courts and Protomartyr.
