15 years ago today (4/16/10), at the Showbox in Seattle, Washington, Soundgarden played their first show in 13 years. The band announced in April 1997 that it was disbanding following 1996’s Lollapalooza tour and ’96’s Down On The Upside. Soundgarden would tour steadily from 2010 until Chris Cornell’s death in 2017.
