LISTEN: Red Velvet Supreme’s “Hey Girl” is Explosive Garage Rock with Blazing Guitar Melodies

NYC-based psychedelic blues fusion rock band Red Velvet Supreme isn’t just a band; it’s an experience. Consisting of Red Velvet on vocals and guitar, Mickmoozy on bass, and Doc B on drums, the band started their journey in 2022 and have been igniting the NYC scene with their swaggering guitar solos, seamlessly groovy bass lines, and soul-thumping drum solos. After releasing their debut project, Just a Little Taste for Ya, in 2023, the band returned in 2025 with their new single “Hey Girl.”

On their new single, the band combines their shining fusion work with gritty punk for an explosive piece of garage rock. “Hey Girl” introduces Red Velvet Supreme as masters of their fusion world, unafraid to leap from genres and eras to find a comfortably experimental place for their lofty visions to roam. The single is a dense piece of rock that toes the line between nostalgic rock and modern urgency with sleek guitar solos that bleed into neck-breaking drum patterns and throat-scratching vocals. Each element plays its role in creating the enticing textures of “Hey Girl,” but it’s when each of these individual moments is examined that the full power of the tune can be felt. The way the vocals interact with the searing guitars creates a palpable, emotional atmosphere set ablaze by the heart-rate-increasing percussion, a truly jaw-dropping, heartfelt performance. Red Velvet Supreme is making their comeback known with “Hey Girl,” a hypnotic wall-of-sound that positions the band as modern sonic chameleons.
