Ten years ago today (5/5/15), after spending years working in Nashville as a songwriter and member of the bands The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers, Chris Stapleton released his debut album Traveller. The album was hugely successful, winning the Grammy for Best Country Album and the ACM and CMA awards for Album Of The Year. The album created a big change in modern country music, blending traditional country with Southern rock, soul, and blues influences that made fans of Stapleton from multiple demographics. To further prove that point, watch Stapleton visit NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts in 2015..
