50 Years Ago Today – Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks Play First Live Show With Fleetwood Mac

50 years ago today (5/15/75), Fleetwood Mac played their first concert with new members Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks at a show in El Paso, Texas at the El Paso County Coliseum. The couple of Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in late 1974, marking a transformative moment in the band’s history. At the time, Fleetwood Mac was a British blues-rock group that had undergone numerous lineup changes. Founding member Mick Fleetwood was looking to revamp the band’s sound and personnel after the departure of guitarist Bob Welch, and the decision proved wise as the band soon became one of the biggest-selling rock bands of all time, with the legion of hits the two would add to the catalog. Although footage isn’t available of the El Paso show, let’s watch a show a few months later in Largo, MD.
