Los Angeles-based quintet Particle are gearing up to storm the U.S. with newly announced tour dates and the joint release of the Transformations Live DVD and double live CD Transformations Live: For The People due in stores from Shout! Factory/Sony on July 18.
The tour is highlighted by performances at Milwaukee’s Summerfest in July, Lollapalooza in Chicago and San Diego’s Street Scene in August and Seattle’s annual Bumbershoot in September. Particle will team up with the UK’s jam pioneers Ozric Tentacles in July for a handful of shows including a CD/DVD release party at The Fillmore in San Francisco on July 15. Particle also plans to reunite with Mickey Hart at this year’s Summerfest for a special set of music billed as Mickey Hart and Friends on July 5.

Scott Law toured and recorded as a guitarist with Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band) and the well-traveled instrumental group, Hanuman before forming Scott Law Band, which released their first studio album in 2005. Scott is partners with Jilian and Bill Nershi (String Cheese Incident) in the group Honkytonk Homeslice and is a frequent sit-in with many other acts.
