U-Melt Finally Goin’ Out West

After nearly seven years as a band – and more than 500 shows – U-Melt will make their first trip to the West Coast in April as part of an extensive Spring Tour. The tour, which is the second leg of the Perfect World Album Release Tour, begins on March 24th at the Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC and continues with a few shows in the South before the quartet heads out to the West Coast for shows in Tucson (3/31); Mesa (4/1); San Diego (4/2); L.A. (4/3), San Francisco (4/4) and Lake Tahoe (4/5) after which U-Melt returns to Colorado for five shows in The Centennial State.

As you may recall, the NYC-based untz-jammers have just made a lineup switch with original guitarist Rob Salzer leaving the band for “medical issues.” Old friend Kevin Griffin has joined the band and makes his official debut on February 12, when the band kicks off the first leg of the tour which includes an album release party at the Bowery Ballroom on February 20.

The quartet has spent the last few weeks rehearsing with Griffin and will continue their rehearsals this weekend. You can follow the action through the band’s Twitter feed which will provide commentary and photos from the sessions. READ ON for the full list of U-Melt tour dates…
