In this age of iTunes, he may betray an old school mentality in referencing the concept of sequencing an album, but there’s no denying his passion for the process and the end result of music-making, especially when it comes to his bond with the other band members.

Stoners everywhere gathered in San Bernardino, California for the Cypress Hill SmokeOut on October 16, 2010. From the Patient Consumption Area to the Massive Stoned Garden there wasn’t a clear eye in sight, though plenty were looking rather dazed and perhaps even a little confused. The beats were inescapable, but it’s not like you would’ve wanted to escape them anyway. The genres ranged from reggae to techno to hip hop and it drew gangsters to hipsters and everything in between.

Meet Me at the Muster Station is the debut full-length album from Kingston, Ontario recording artists PS I Love You. A duo consisting of Benjamin Nelson and Paul Saulnier, the band mixes guitar, drums, organ, bass, and feedback galore to produce a brash sonic squall that has powerful strengths and a notable shortcoming. There is no doubt the band will make their mark with the Pitchfork-tight jeans and goofy glasses crowd searching for a hot new rave up but what is really happening inside this so-called Muster Station?

Phish Alpine Valley 2010: DVD Box Set

Back in August, Phish put together two fabulous shows on August 14th and 15th at Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI. According to Direct Current, the band will release a box set featuring audio and video from the pair of landmark performances on December 14th called Alpine Valley 2010.

While Alpine Valley 2010 will feature all of the first show (8/14), it will only include select tracks from the second show (8/15). All tracks were recorded using seven cameras and 57 channels of digital multitrack audio. No official word from the band yet, but an Amazon.com pre-order page is already live with a price of $34.99.
