It’s finally here: the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ finale (#HIMYMfinale). It’s a real doozy of an episode that already has social media backlash! But what series finale doesn’t garner backlash from the entire population of Twitter? However, let’s try to enjoy the episode for what it is.
The final episode before the legen-waitforit-dary(!) finale. As the title suggests (although it could’ve also been named “The Locket, Part Three”), we finally (presumably) get to see Robin walk down the aisle and experience the start of TV’s most epic wedding EVER.
In this week’s in”stall”ment, a character from the show’s sidelines takes center stage as the series continues to build anticipation for the biggest TV wedding event ever (yes, even bigger than the Royal Wedding — or the Red Wedding).
As we creep and crawl to the series finale at the end of the month, ‘HIMYM’ spends another week stalling, distracting, and answering questions we had already forgotten we’d asked.
This episode had some funny moments, but the weariness of this season has fully set in.
