20 Years Ago Today – Radiohead Releases ‘Hail To The Thief’ Album (Watch Live Glastonbury ’03)

20 years ago today (6/9/03), Radiohead released its sixth studio album Hail to the Thief.  Being bold while borrowing bits and pieces of Kid A and OK Computer, Hail to the Thief has more peaks and valleys than some of their other releases but what an up-and-down ride it is – take “Sail To The Moon” next to “ A Punch Up At A Wedding.”  With the longest running length and most songs of any of their albums up to that date, Hail To The Thief runs the gamut of styles and cryptic energy. Watch Radiohead live in Glastonbury in 2003 shortly after the release of Hail to the Thief as they open with the volcanic opener “There There” (off Hail to the Thief).
