25 years ago today (5/6/97), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame moved its induction ceremonies to the city of its new physical home in Cleveland. The previous ceremonies were held in New York from 1986 thru 1996. Receiving induction were The Jackson 5, The Bee Gees, The Young Rascals, Joni Mitchell, Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Parliament-Funkadelic. So Neil Young and Stephen Stills got inducted twice that year with both Buffalo Springfield and CSN&Y, however, Young didn’t appear at the ceremonies as Stills quipped to Richie Furay during Buffalo Springfield speeches – “Hey Richie, he quit again.” Check out the Springfield induction part below, which also features an entertaining rare public appearance by Bruce Palmer.
