25 Years Ago Today – Widespread Panic Releases Bombs & Butterflies’ LP

25 years ago today (2/4/97), Widespread Panic released its fifth studio album Bombs & Butterflies. Unlike most live improvisational two-set bands of its times, Widespread Panic’s studio albums achieved fully realized listenable reward and Bombs was no exception. Along with a stellar cover of Vic Chesnutt’s “Aunt Avis,” the album includes live favorites: “Tall Boy,” “Greta,” and “Rebirtha.” Check out the LP in full kicking off with jangly “Radio Child”..
