30 years ago today (3/13/95), Faith No More released their fifth album King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime. It was their first and only album without longtime guitarist Jim Martin, with Mr. Bungle’s Trey Spruance stepping in for the recording (though he left before touring). The album leans heavily into genre-hopping, mixing hard rock, jazz, funk, and lounge music, with Mike Patton’s dynamic vocal delivery tying it all together.
