30 Years Ago Today- Phish Release First Official Live LP ‘A Live One’ (Listen To “Stash” Great Woods ’94)

30 years ago today (6/27/95), Phish released its first official live album, aptly titled A Live One. This was a first for many fans who had been tape-trading live shows for years upon this release and now had live Phish on not one, but two CDs (a double album). A Live One marked the first time that the band had officially released live recordings directly from their soundboard masters, with each track recorded at a different show from their Fall ’94 tour (except for one). Of course, since then, Phish has officially released many full shows on CD, but this 1995 release remains a compilation of sorts for many.. Listen to “Stash” from DISC 1, taken from July 8, 1994, at Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts, Mansfield, MA. (ignore the clifford ball notes- that was 1996)//
