40 years ago today (3/7/83), New Order released ‘Blue Monday,’ as a 12-inch single through Factory Records. The track went on to become the biggest-selling 12-inch single of all time. The song appears on certain cassette and CD versions of the band’s second studio album, Power, Corruption & Lies, and it various remixes are a given play at most any goth or new-wave dance night.
