45 years ago today (6/23/80), Pink Floyd released the single”Comfortably Numb” with the B-side “Hey You” from The Wall -two songs that have remained in the upper echelon of the band’s storied catalog. Both these compositions feature some of rock’s all-time greatest guitar solos courtesy of David Gilmour, while Roger Waters penned the lyrics and verse progression.
