50 Years Ago Today – ZZ Top Releases Third Album ‘Tres Hombres’

50 years ago today (7/26/73), ZZ Top released its third studio album Tres Hombres. The fitting title served the Texas twice-bearded once non-bearded trio well in this defining album that made the band nationally known outside of Texas with help from their second hit “La Grange” (Francine from 1972’s Rio Grande, being the first).
