55 years ago today (6/6/69), Elton John released his debut album, Empty Sky. Featuring lyrics by Bernie Taupin, Elton John’s long-time collaborator, the album is not unlike any burgeoning artist today, where the hits are soon to come, yet the debut features all the potential.
