70 years ago today (12/21/46), Carl Wilson, brother of Brian and Dennis and founding member of The Beach Boys was born.The youngest of the three Wilson brothers, Carl was their lead guitarist and wrote much of the Beach Boys’ material that Brian didn’t compose. Along with a heavenly voice that most remember singing “God Only Knows,” Car was a mainstay throughout various versions of the band, up to his death in 1998 from cancer. Check out Wilson and the rest of the Beach Boys perform “I Can Hear Music” on television in 1969 – this happens to be the first track produced solely by Carl Wilson.
