Five years ago today (8/20/16), at Kingston, Ontario’s Rogers K-Rock Centre, in perhaps one of the most emotional rock concerts ever staged, The Tragically Hip performed their last ever show. Lead singer Gord Downie was diagnosed with terminal cancer just months before and the influential Canadian rockers set out on a final jaunt of their home country. The show was broadcast live across Canada and was shown at hundreds of public screenings across the country in bars and outdoor venues.
