Happy 55th birthday to former Pixies bassist and current Breeders bassist/vocalist Kim Deal who was born on 6/10/61. Deal returned to The Pixies when they reunited in 2004 following their first break up in 1993. Always a fan favorite and to the surprise of many, she left The Pixies in 2013 just prior to the 2014 release of their long awaited fifth studio album Indie Cindy. Watch a then 26/27 year old Deal deliver lead vocals to “Gigantic” live in 1988, a song she co-wrote with Frank Black.
