Video: Son Volt – Hearts and Minds

Fans on the Jay Farrar side of the “Tupelo Divide” appear to be in for a big treat as the lead single off the album Honky Tonk catches Son Volt at their very finest. Farrar’s vocals sound like they did 15 years ago and the instrumentation is accented nicely by well-directed fiddle and pedal steel melodies. It’s back to basics for Son Volt and it sounds great.

CMT Edge premiered the video last week and Bill Bentley of the Morton Report has a thoughtful album review with more insight.
