One week ago today Umphrey’s McGee wrapped out the western portion of their never-ending tour with a headlining set at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. The band was joined by jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan for a two-song encore that included UM original Glory and a cover of Making Flippy Floppy by Talking Heads.
We just came across video of this beautiful version of Glory, which features Cinninger and then Jordan taking two completely different approaches to their solos. Unfortunately it cuts about 40 seconds before the song ended, but it’s still worth taking a look…
