David Rawlings Machine Saddles Up With John Paul Jones & Gillian Welch For West Coast Tour

The Dave Rawlings Machine, featuring Gillian Welch, John Paul Jones, Willie Watson, and Paul Kowert with bandleader Dave Rawlings, is headed west this fall, playing dates in California, Oregon, Montana, and Washington state (full dates below) Rawlings, the longtime musical partner of Welch, is also a confident front-man in his own right.  This follows a run of shows in late June in the Midwest including a date at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.  Jones, who is most widely known for his bass work with Led Zeppelin, plays the mandolin with the Machine, as shown by this version of “Going to California.”
