I just finished watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, and oh my, what a train wreck. The only salvageable parts were REM’s performance and the footage from past ceremonies. Once Velvet Revolver was signed up to play Van Halen songs, I knew we in trouble. Here’s some more trouble, a Tuesday link dump:
- Past Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony lowlights
- Jeff Tweedy doesn’t really care that Sky Blue Sky was leaked
- Much of Grateful Dead roadie Ram Rod‘s accumulated gear is going up for auction on the 30th anniversary of 5/8/77
- A review of the Los Lobos and Taj Mahal co-headlining tour
- Better late than never: LiveBonnaroo releases from The Neville Brothers, Blackalicious, and Buddy Guy
- One of my favs, Jeff Pevar, has hooked up with a new band
- Gene Simmons discusses his issues with hiphop
- Bill Berry has rejoined his REM bandmates to record #9 Dream for the upcoming Lennon tribute album
- Bob Said No
- Tempted by a Squeeze reunion tour
- I have no idea what this Portuguese website says, but you should just click “link” for some tasty live Rolling Stones mp3s
- SuperDee’s posted some Langerado pics of her own
We’ll end with a query: Which band do you think the next great group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be?

In a late addition, there’s a new track from Rush out on the band’s website: http://www.rush.com/ — check it out and let us know whatcha think…
Funny about Ramrod’s gear. Garcia’s Doug Irwin guitars were auctioned on the 25th anniversay of 5/8: http://www.jambands.com/Features/content_2002_05_21.04.phtml
Next inductees… I can honestly say that Alice Cooper should be there.
