Noontime Listenin’: Twofer Tuesday

You know, with the weakening dollar and the currency exchange rates the way they are, I hear in England it’s now called “One for Onesday.” Financial jokes? Ugh.

Up first, the incomparably underrated Assembly of Dust:

Following closely, two gems from Robert Walter’s 20th Congress:

And bringing up the read, a look back at Aquarium Rescue Unit:

That oughta keep you no-good fonzanoons occupied for a little while…

  1. Thanks for the Ripley’s love.
I was just talking about that place last weekend with Nick Blaskey.

We used to have a lot of fun in there.

  2. Ripley’s… Is that the joint in Cincinnati… which is no longer there? And is that the Nick Blaskey that played with my buddy, Paul Hogan, in Ray’s Music Exchange? Whoa! I feel like I’m in a time-warp.

  3. Yes, that is the joint that was in Cincy. And yes, Nick from Rays. Paul used to rip it up back then. We miss him tons. Tell him Matt Spaulding and the rest of the crew here in Cincinnati say Hey.

    Exit time warp.

  4. Will do, Matt! I sure remember seeing Ray’s rip it up then… at Ripley’s. How’s the ‘Nati… I miss it, but I must say I only miss it a little. Even UNO’s in Clifton is gone! I worked there for several years.

  5. Cincy’s OK. We still have the same group of friends that used to rip it up back in the day. Only we’re all A) married, B) married w/ children, C) balding, D) generally over the hill.
Taking it a little easier these days. Heck, even Maddog has a wife and kid now.
