In what may very well be the most rock and roll thing that has ever been seen, The Foo Fighters kicked off their summer tour at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. with frontman Dave Grohl strapped to a mobile throne with a light up purple cast. Grohl, broke his leg on stage in Sweden a few weeks ago, causing a series of European cancellations that included cancelling appearances at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium. The North American tour kicked off on July 4th for the Foo Figthers and Grohl had no plans of cancelling this tour.
