Like my cool Uncle Frank back in the day, we’ve been playing around with imeem behind closed doors, probing its parts and figuring out what buttons to press.
So instead of offering up our regular Friday mediafire-type download that requires you to take a few extra steps to listen, allow us to present our first embeddable mix tape. “New toys for a new year” sounds about right to us.
So give us some feedback, ya freeloaders…would you rather be able to stream the Friday Mix Tape like this or download it like the old way? Your call. Not really.

nice deff like the use of imeem. I actually won tickest from imeem last year to bonnaroo soo im a big fan of that website..
Ahhhhh. Like a breath of fresh air.
sweet, now i can listen at work
Finally, you did something right!
well done, me gusta imeem. Great songs too.
That song Madagascar REALLY sounds like Madness’ Our House at times. Great tunes, both.
We’re on the same wavelength I tell ya, Ace. I’ve been playing around too… Imeem has all their licensing ducks in a row, so no blogger guilt!
downloads so I can load’em onto my Zen and listen while zooming along at 30,000 feet. or more likely cooling my heels in an airport waiting for the air transport system to unf**k itself.
How about both? Instant gratification from imeem and downloads for the people who want it on their mp3 players. But if you only have to pick one – imeem is the way to go.
Thanks for the input, folks…I’ll try to do both from now on, but as we all know, I’m really really lazy. We’ll see what we get.
Whichever way you go, thanks for putting them together!!
Nice feature. Though having both options seems like the right move. This is the age of the portable music player. And making the purchase of all these songs to download them that once were free, makes me that much less likely to learn and discover new music.
Sheeeeeeeeet …one click to listen Im in!!!
instant gratification downloadable = setting the standard
