We ended the week with a post about Wilco playing Saturday Night Live, so we might as well start this week in review with the news that Vampire Weekend will appear on Saturday’s show. Let’s just hope the VW boys don’t have to cancel their debut performance at Langerado, which is scheduled to take place on Friday at 3PM.
Here’s the best of the week that was:
- Umphrey’s delivered a four-part tour diary from their West Coast tour
- DaveO offered up a Boogie On edition of Cover Wars
- Some Dude interviewed Ethan Schwartz about Langerado
- Luke Sacks gave us an interesting Mets/Billy Joel mash-up
- The B List looked at five more bands of interest at Langerado
- Representative of the Midwest debuted with a show preview
- Bonnaroo turned up the heat on its competitors
UPDATE: Vampire Weekend has officially confirmed that they are canceling their appearance at Langerado. [tip of the hat to nodnoc]

VMPR WKND canceled a few European shows 2 Flordia shows AND the Langerado show according to their myspace.
SNL used to be pretty big for a band….
I’m just curious, with the current state of the SNL cast and viewer interest, if the Langerado gig plus the Euro dates they cancelled would be actually better than doing SNL…
