In our relentless pursuit of informing you about every festival that gets announced we let one slip through our fingers last week with announcement of the initial line-up of the Gathering Of The Vibes. The festie returns to Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT and will once again be headlined by Phil Lesh & Friends, while the rest of the bill features the likes of DSO, NRPS, AOD, DBB, PBS and more.
If a hippie jamband fest isn’t for you, then maybe one of these newly announced tours will be…
- Country music legend Merle Haggard lines up his latest batch of dates (begins: 04/02)
- Rootsy singer/songwriter Bob Schneider winds his way around the country (begins: 03/20)
- Jeff Tweedy & Co. add a late spring Mid-West run, don’t forget to put in your requests (begins: 04/30)
- The Roots hit the road to support their latest effort Rising Down (begins: 03/29)
- Charlie Daniels Band, .38 Special and Shooter Jennings join forces for the Volunteer Jam tour (begins: 04/11)
- Tween sensations The Jonas Brothers hit the shed circuit this summer (begins: 07/04)
Finally we’ve got some more confirmed acts for Bonnaroo, as this round of additions sees Stephen Marley, Money Mark, The Coup, The Wood Brothers, Rogue Wave, Newton Faulkner and a late-night set from Tiesto join the already fantastic bill. Bonnaroo continues to separate itself from the rest of the pack.

I guess Black Oak Arkansas were booked already
I think they’re holding out for Marshall Tucker Band’s summer tour
sorry Some Dude,
how do you see the Bonnaroo lineup , “separating itself from the rest of the pack” (as you put it) ????
i see an overpriced, over-dusty, over-hot, over-commercialized, under-jam/under-indie type of weekend.
sorry. Superfly’s lineup thus far this year is super-par.
