Here’s a special back to school edition of Stormy Mondays featuring a double dose of Phish’s Chalk Dust Torture. First up is the monster, nearly 25 minute version from day two at IT, a long, wandering rendition with a space groove dead center, and nice finale. Next is one of my favorite versions, from Camden in 1999. There’s a crazy, arcing jam in the middle that something akin to an upbeat What’s the Use theme that really makes this one stand out. It’s part of a three song suite to open the show, and the Wilson is definitely worth hearing too. As always, enjoy!
