Televised Tune: On The Tube This Week

VH1 Classic will air a look at The Band’s 1969 self-titled album, sometimes known as the “Brown Album” on Thursday at 4PM. The album came amid high expectations following 1968’s Music From Big Pink but staples Up On Cripple Creek and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, along with the lesser-know The Great Divide, allow The Band to hold its own as an album. Interviewees include the surviving members of the group and Eric Clapton.
