Friday for the Foodies: Anthony Bourdain, the Authors at Google Interview

In November 2007, everyone’s favorite traveling NYC chef & food personality Anthony Bourdain was the subject of an interview with Google’s Chef Nate Keller. It is a no holds barred interview with a chef, by a chef.

You can watch the interview in its entirety here

Here’s what else came across the Foodie-Wire this week:

Irving Mill’s $15 Burger & a beer special now includes Jim Beam whiskey! (via Grub Street)

Astoria’s Rizzo’s Offering 50-Cent Anniversary Specials Starting Saturday (via Serious Eats Slice Blog)

Warm weather is here which means it’s time for Shake Shack’s Custard Calender (via Serious Eats NY). Also today (Friday April 10th) marks the beginning of the Shack’s summer hours—11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (via Eater)

NYC Food Guy takes us on a tour of some of Sunset Park’s best Mexican Food for his 200th post!

Laren Spirer of Ed Levine Eats brings us a great interview with Niki Russ Federman of Russ & Daughters (who by the way have their own Twitter feed)

In my Inbox: Veteran NYC food throwdown competitors Nick Suarez and Theo Peck are planning something big in the near future. I wish I knew what that was but that was all of the information I could get from them at this point. Either Nick and Theo usually win or come very close to the top at many of the throwdowns/food competitions here in NYC so I am curious what these two have cooked up (pun intended). You have seen them at the Bacon, Chowder, Chili, Mac & Cheese amongst other throwdowns recently. Keep tuned in for more details as they come available.

In case you missed it: Here is a Recap of this week’s 2009 Eat Out Awards (via Time Out NY)

Finally for all of you that love to travel, The Lost Girls bring us a great post Lost in Colombia: The Coffeeshops of Cartagena

All for now, happy eating!
