Best Of Bonnaroo 2009 On The Net

The eighth annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival kicked off late Thursday afternoon, and while the weather may not have cooperated by all accounts things got off to a great start. Here’s what’s gone down so far…

Day One:

• List Time: Best & Worst of Day  1 According To Spin
• Brooklyn buzz band Chairlift name checks Phish
• Delta Spirit missed their 7 PM slot after a canceled flight, but managed to finally make it to Manchester
• Thirty-five pounds of mushroom infused chocolate peanut butter cups were confiscated by local police
• Zac Brown Band peppered their set with covers from The Band, Charlie Daniels and a John Mayer/Stevie Wonder mash-up

Day Two:

• The Beastie Boys brought out Nas to help out on a new tune
• World music was on display all day at The Other Tent
• Al Green delivered a set of new tunes and soul classics

Day Three:

• The Boss’ twenty-eight song headlining appearance included a cover of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
• Trent Reznor claims NIN’s set to be their last US show ever

• Jimmy Buffet served as more than a backing musician, delivering an early afternoon set of the hits
• moe.’s late night set stretched deep into the night and included a full band switch with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals

Day Four:

• Bonnaroo’s numbers “up dramatically” from last year
