UPDATE [10:15PM]: Wade reports that Phish keyboardist Page McConnell came out in the middle of the setbreak and announced that due to the electrical storms surrounding the venue the second set won’t start until 11PM. McConnell assured the crowd they would get a full show and asked for their patience. He advised those on the lawn to head to their cars, but from Wade’s vantage point it doesn’t seem as if anyone was moving.

The Phish crew worked hard to cover everything on the stage and the PA was pulled down. According to Wilby the energy in the crowd was as electric as the storms, with speculation about what the band may bust out in the second set the topic of most conversations in the pavilion. Wade will keep us abreast of any further developments @YEMblog.

  1. That was one of the coolest shows Ive ever seen. all I have to say is Trey, what a monster. Ive never seen so much improv out of those guys. A++++. It was basically trey soloing all night long. Watch out Alpine here they come!

  2. They didn’t play backwards down the number line… and in the second set they played bike… FYI

  3. The_Rick is the worst.

Readings his posts made me hate myself for wasting my life to read his posts.

  4. They opened up with backwards down the number line, and the song in the 2nd half was let me lie. Listen to the recording from Burgettstown from the night before to hear Bike. They are very different songs.

Noblesville was my first show, and it was awesome. I hit up Shakedown and got some awesome art along with a few shirts. The lightning was amazing…seriously, I work outside and live in Ohio, so I’ve seen storms; but this lightning was insane! The energy was awesome from the band and the crowd. As soon as the show ended a steady downpour started that soaked everyone by the time they got outside the venue gates. I had my art tucked inside my shirt while I ran to the bus. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I’ll definitely do it again.
