As we previously reported venerable indie label Matador will celebrate their 21st anniversary in style with a three-day festival in Las Vegas which they have dubbed The Lost Weekend. The NYC-based label recently revealed the initial details for the festie, which will take place from October 1-3 at the Palms Resort & Casino, with a bill that features a veritable who’s who from the label’s 21 year history. Headlining will be the formidable foursome of Pavement, Sonic Youth, Belle & Sebastian & Guided By Voices – with their classic ’93 – ’96 lineup. Among the acts joining those heavy hitters will be Spoon, Yo La Tengo, Cat Power & The New Pornographers.
Tickets for the three-day event will go on-sale this Friday (7/9) at 9 AM PST, with a limited amount available for $199, and then will go up to $225, along with an opportunity to reserve standard rooms at the Palms for the discounted rate of $99 per night.
