A.C. Entertainment and Superfly have announced the 2016 SuperJam lineup at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Best known for creating historic artist moments and bringing to life unexpected genre-breaking musical collaborations, this year’s SuperJam is a tribute to Bonnaroo’s homestate legends ranging from BB King to Justin Timberlake. Driven by saxophone great Kamasi Washington as musical director, SuperJam collaborators and co-conspirators include: Miguel, GRiZ, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Devonté Hynes, Eric Krasno & The Shady Horns, Vulfpeck, The Internet, Chicano Batman, Lizzo and many more to be announced soon.
“I’m so excited and honored to lead this year’s SuperJam,” said Kamasi Washington. “Such a cool experience to collaborate with all of these amazing artists in celebration of some of the greatest music legends from Tennessee, at one of the coolest festivals in the country – it’s going to be a crazy party!”
The element of surprise plays a big role each year as fans spend months speculating on who might be performing. Fans will watch it all unfold on the Saturday night of the festival from12:30am – 2:30am.
