We knew three and a half hour shows from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band was routine, but what about four hour shows? That is becoming standard fare now for the Boss who turns 67 on September, 23rd. Wednesday night in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park, Springsteen’s show rang up at 4 hours and 4 minutes, with 34 songs played creating a new U.S. record. This surpassed the previous record from last week of 4 hours, set at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 30. Several Springsteen bloggers and fan sites confirmed the record. Wednesday’s concert was the second-longest of the band’s career, with a 2012 set in Helsinki, Finland, still holding the record at 4:06.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band return to Philly for another show on Friday on the same playing field. Check out the full setlist from Wednesday below
