Cheap Trick Rocks Like Its The 70’s On Night of the 7’s in Boston (7/17/17) (PHOTOS)

In celebration of their second studio album in two years We’re All Alright!, Cheap Trick is on the road once again rocking their hits to their loyal fans. At the Blue Hills Bank Pavillion on July 17th, Robin Zander proved that age is only in the mind, as he belted out the band’s classic anthems while the fun-loving oddball guitarist Rick Nielson riffed away between throwing guitar picks into the sea of fans throughout the set. Bassist Tom Petersson and drummer Daxx Nielsen admirably kept the back line running like a fine-tuned machine. In their sixty minute set, the band culled together rockers, ballads and choice covers by the Move and Lou Reed. Highlights included the set opener “Hello There”, “I’m Waiting for the Man” with Petersson on lead vocals and the quasi finale triple threat of “I Want You to Want Me”, “Dream Police” and “Surrender” which brought anyone who was sitting in their seats – up and out to jam along with the ageless legends on stage.
