Sounding Arrow is the first solo project from Scott Kinnebrew, singer and lead guitarist of roots rockers Truth & Salvage Co., and former ringleader of Smoky Mountain indie faves Scrappy Hamilton. Sounding Arrow’s new album Loving Is Breathing is set to release on September 22, 2017, on California Country Records.
After ceaseless touring with Truth & Salvage Co. between 2009 to 2014, the band opening for the likes of The Black Crowes (Chris Robinson produced their debut LP), The Avett Brothers, and the late, great Levon Helm; the band decided to take a much-needed break in 2015. Now that he was on his own, Scott began to create his solo endeavor of Sounding Arrow and Loving Is Breathing is a clear indication just how cathartic and revelatory the freedom to explore both outwardly and inwardly ended up being for this trippy troubadour.
Glide is thrilled to premiere the video for “King Size Heart” off Loving Is Breathing (below), a catchy heartfelt composition that brings a purely unique flair to Americana, while the video is a carefree capture of living in the moment. Sounding Arrow goes for the unexpected twist and turns, reminiscent of both Dr. Dog and Blitzen Trapper at their most indie DIY escapades.Â
Loving Is Breathing was produced by Scott Kinnebrew and recorded half at Scott’s Asheville house and half at psychedelic folk wizard Joel Jerome’s studio in L.A.

I’ve loved Scott Kinnebrew’s contributions to the music galaxy since the first note I ever heard. This music let’s you clear your mind and feel free to feel. Scott’s way of composing is so full, so layered, so travel able. Each song is many songs in one, yet notes never step on eachother shedding light on how equal to harmony separation is. Every listen is a “mini break” from the present and the listener is left feeling hope, relevance and more generous of spirit. It’s clean, it’s sophisticated and it’s playful and the execution of the songs and the videos is fresh and unique and relatable.
