Divine Fits Ready Debut Album For August 28 Release

Divine Fits, the band comprised of Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown, has confirmed that its debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, will be released August 28 in the U.S. by Merge Records and in Canada by Universal.

Of A Thing Called Divine Fits, the band says via their website, "Over the course of its 11 songs it covers such topics as the death of true love, hitchhiking, cocoa butter, emotional distance, what happens when the curtain drops, and Minneapolis, MN. We think it’s truly pretty great."

The album’s first single "My Love Is Real" can now be streamed from SoundCloud. A limited-edition 7-inch single will be released July 31 and will feature the non-LP B-side cover of Camper Van Beethoven’s "I Was Born in a Laundromat." Listen below:

"Would That Not Be Nice" is included in NPR All Songs Considered Summer Music Preview. Listen to the podcast at NPR Music now.
