White Denim advance on a banner year for their critically acclaimed album, Performance, by announcing West Coast spring tour dates, including LA’s Teragram Ballroom on April 26th (pre-sale tickets for headlining shows are available now with password: PERFORMANCE) and their debut at Red Rocks Amphitheater with moe. and Mike Gordon. A full itinerary is listed below. The Austin, TX-based band today also released a charged new live performance video recorded as part of PBS’ Echo Sessions series. Returning to Asheville, NC’s Echo Mountain Studio, where they recorded parts of previous album Stiff, the 45-minute video finds White Denim in top form after months of touring North America and Europe, with multiple sold out shows and a return to late night TV’s Conan the week of Performance’s release. Performance was recorded over eight weeks mainly in Radio Milk – White Denim’s new studio in downtown Austin – and self-produced by the band, with Jim Vollentine. The feeling of liberation and elastic possibility twinned with conviction that defined previous albums such as Fits and Last Day of Summer is key to Performance – that sense of energy and purpose is renewed here and doubled down with a truckload of attitude.
