Essential Things You Might Have Missed in the Season 3 of Ozark

Over the past two seasons, the Byrdes’ have made troubles for themselves that would often leave the viewers asking if how both of them are supposed to get out. But for those who are wondering if this will be the season where everything starts to fix themselves, you might have to wait a little bit longer. In the third season, everything is related to the casino industry. Marty could get the deal with the county official and it has changed their course in TV series. Even the opening scenes of the third season start with Marty’s casino venue. Jason Bateman’s character wants to build a casino empire and his wife can help him achieve his dreams. Character Marty believes that casinos could be the biggest income sources for family and they can become the political players in state Missouri. Marty’s had few advisors in the show and they advise him to create more income for the casino, for instance, an online platform for gamblers. Bill Dubuque said that he wanted to have an actual casino concept into the show. Creators of the show noted that Marty will have a real-life casino with online gambling offers. Real online casino with money and digital currency will be one of the biggest goals for Marty’s character. It would be interesting to see how a financial advisor can start from the bottom and create the casino empire of Missouri and online space.

A Brief Overview of Ozark’s Season 2 Highlights

In Ozark’s second season, we see Marty and Wendy’s need to lie-low because of what’s on their tail. The owner of The Blue Cat, Rachel (Jordana Spiro) died in the second season. Marty is easily responsible for Rachel’s demise because of everything he has done to make her life the way it is in the second season.

Death is inevitable, even for Ozark’s main characters

We will have many spoilers ahead, so don’t read if you have not seen the third season yet. Season 3 of Ozark showcased a lot of deaths. A lot of them are easy to forget, yet a lingering one persists throughout season 3— Ben’s (Tom Pelphrey) death.

By having beef with Helen, Ben’s death sentence has just found a schedule. Wendy (Laura Linney) needs to make a decision quickly. After several chases, rushed plans, and a lot of hiding, she finally decided to end everything that is haunting her. She decides to stop hiding Ben, his brother and has chosen her family’s safety instead.

Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), Ben’s new girlfriend is devastated with his death. Ruth isn’t insensitive about the whole situation, and she has at least some knowledge, to which she consulted her cousin, Wyatt (Charlie Tahan).

Ruth eventually knew that Wendy is the one responsible for Ben’s death, which leads to a breakdown. Finally, she left the cartel and severed ties with the Byrde’s.

The Season 3 of Ozark leaves so many questions on the table, yet one sure thing is Helen’s motivation for killing Ben. It wasn’t because she wants to protect the cartel, but it was because Helen wants to get back to Ben because of her bad relationship with her daughter Erin (Madison Thompson).

Season 3’s ending leaves some doors open for another one, but we don’t have confirmation about a season 4 yet. All we know though is that Marty and Wendy are on a very high caliber because of their current position on the cartel in season 3 of Ozark.
