Treefort Music Fest has revealed a resurrected lineup for its ninth festival, set to take place September 22-26, 2021 in multiple venues throughout downtown Boise, Idaho. The lineup includes: Japanese Breakfast, The Marías, Calexico, Andy Shauf, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Built to Spill, Larkin Poe, Modu Moctar, Goth Babe, Tennis, Joshy, Prefuse 73, Lighting Bolt, AJJ, Pell, The Felice Brothers, Chong the Nomad, Rituals of Mine, Armand Hammer, Vundabar, Habibi, Nite Jewel, The Seshen and many more.
“After over two years without a festival, we are incredibly excited and grateful to return in 2021,” said Eric Gilbert, festival director of Treefort Music Fest. “The enthusiasm from our community about a September edition of Treefort has been reassuring and the excitement from artists has been really motivating. We’re looking forward to gathering again safely and celebrating live music, art, and community after a long, quiet year.”
The resurrected Treefort 9 lineup includes 369 artists, with 154 local bands. Most of the lineup has carried over from the lineup that was planned for March 2020, with more than 40 new artist additions. The forts of Treefort Music Fest are planning to hold events during the upcoming festival. Those lineups and details will be announced in the coming months.
Festival goers can expect a few changes at the 2021 festival, though much of the fan favorites will remain. The festival is continuing to work closely with local and state health officials to hold a safe community-run festival in September.
A limited number of tickets are now on sale for Treefort 9. Discovery passes are $250, ZIPLINE passes are $420, and U21 passes are $150. Kids age 12 and under are free, accompanied by an adult with a Treefort pass. Tickets can be purchased starting April 22, 2021 at 10 am MT at www.treefortmusicfest.com/tickets.
