Counting Chances is a multi-voice acoustic studio project with a diverse rotating cast. Collaborating with a mission to share a message of truth in love, loss, mistakes, forgiveness, and hope. Their debut EP is set to be released in August of this year.
With “Take My Heart,” (below) Counting Chances paint warm pictures with a stirring vibrato and delicate piano interludes that hit the ears with calming reflection. A compelling track that blends a classic folk ballad directive with a modern pop chorus, “Take My Heart” is forged in thoughtful elegance and makes like a lost Kate Bush B-side.
The original lyrics to “Take My Heart“ had a line, “your love and your light takes my heart every night, helps me get by, it’s how I get by” … “just to know that you breathed.” In the recording, process words got changed but at the end of the day, this song is about letting go and moving on with peace in your heart and healing in your soul.
