LISTEN: Tekla Waterfield Makes Off Like a Pop Bandit On Vibrant “Come On Jane”

Tekla Waterfield self-released one record before establishing a life-changing partnership with her multi-instrumentalistproducer, husband, Jeff Fielder. The two have co-produced Waterfield’s second solo LP, The Curtain Falls, and their debut duo record, Trouble In Time, both of which received radio play nationally and internationally as well as critical acclaim.

Check out Waterfield’s pouncing new single, “Come On Jane” that stuns with a sunny vibrant pop aura. With soft and direct inflection, Waterfield vocally sways amongst a driving bass groove while floating over a reflective expression that winkingly references The Band.

Waterfield wrote “Come On Jane” while struggling with feelings of inadequacy, depression, and the struggle between her extroverted and introverted sides. With production by Waterfield’s musical partner and husband, Jeff Fielder (Mark Lanegan, Amy Ray), “Come On Jane” beckons its listener to partake in life, rather than “sitting on the couch, watching stories about other people’s lives”, so you’re not left “wondering what happened to your own”.
