LISTEN: Sea Lemon Drops Colorful & Ambitious Indie Pop Track “Sunday”

Based out of Seattle, Sea Lemon is the new solo project of 26-year-old songwriter Natalie Lew. After picking up an electric guitar for the first time in 2019, Natalie discovered a love for writing, recording, and producing music. Natalie’s first band Climates, an all-female grunge project based out of Brooklyn, where she formerly lived, gave her an unshakeable desire to make something uniquely her own. Sonically inspired by the lush dreamy atmosphere of Alvvays and Chromatics and the bittersweet glittery vibes of The Beach Boys and Rilo Kiley, Natalie’s songwriting and sound is all about being both present in the moment while never fully letting go of nostalgia, and her experiences growing up as a 4th-generation-Asian woman. Natalie’s first release, “Sunday,” is the first song off of an future upcoming EP, to be released in 2022.

Glide is premiering the colorful track “Sunday” (below) that carries an ambitious pop flair chiming with the ambitious overtones of Grimes and Soccer Mommy. Sea Lemon is joined by producer Stefan Mac (Wallows, No Vacation) for the track, an infectious and uplifting dreampop track about unintentionally sabotaging relationships due to anxiety.
