FULL LP PREMIERE: Boston’s Hush Club Deliver Lush & Melodic Dream Pop Via ‘Fingerprints & Stains’

Boston’s Hush Club creates dreamlike downtempo indie pop that swerves with the static flair of Nada Surf while incorporating a lush song brevity. Composed of Chris Haley (guitar, vocals), Liz Kantor (keys, vocals), and Alasdair MacKenzie (drums, bass, vocals), the trio is releasing its haunting new album Fingerprints and Stains on November 12th.

Examining the nuances of our shared human experience; Chris, Liz, and Alasdair wrote the songs for the album while isolating together in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think of this album as being about the gap between what you know and how you act.  You make a mistake, you try to analyze it, you have an insight, and then you make the same mistake again.  Musically, we wanted to make recordings that sounded personal and huge at the same time.  I hope people listen on headphones in the dark,” says Alasdair.

Glide is premiering Fingerprints and Stains in full (below) where the band takes ears on an intimate journey of musical imagery and reflective melodies. Fans of ’90s dream pop and shoegaze will find this song collection innately cozy…
